Hector Rivera-RRAC baseball player of the week

Hector Rivera of Wiley College was selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week for March 1-7. Rivera, a senior second baseman from Aguada, Puerto Rico, delivered two game-winning hits in a 4-1 week for the Wildcats. He opened the week going 3 for 3 with a walk-off three-run home run to stun the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 5-4. He also connected on a walk-off hit to defeat Bacone College 8-7, in the second game of a three-game sweet against the Warriors. Rivera had a hit and scored a run in all five games on the week, batting 8 for 16 with a pair of double and six RBI's. Wiley is now 9-3 on the season.
